and the 60). We rotate meeting locations between Banner Good Samaritan and
Banner Desert Medical Centers). Remember it is worth the drive!

Welcome to PHOENIX ALLERGY NETWORK, an educational food allergy support group for families.
Who are we: Our members consist of individuals, parents, professionals, friends and families affected by food allergies and anaphylaxis. We are your neighbors, your co-workers or members of your child’s class or sport team. More importantly we are ordinary people living with an extraordinary health issue.
Our Vision: To be a proactive advocate and resource in food allergy and anaphylaxis awareness.
Our Mission: To Support, Educate and Advocate for those with food allergies, and to raise awareness in the community by providing a consistent approach to food allergy and anaphylaxis management.

- To outreach to the medical community to help support those newly diagnosed with food allergies.
- To provide School Trainings based on the Arizona Resource Guide for Managing Life-threatening Food Allergies in Arizona Schools.
- To continue work with the Arizona Department of Education to provide an annual training for School Nurses on Food Allergy Management in the school setting.
- To develop an on-line training module based on the Arizona Resource Guide that prepares school personnel on food allergy management.
- To develop an interactive, dynamic website that will serve as a resource to those with food allergies as well as the community at large.
- Developed Guidelines for Managing Life-threatening Food Allergies in Arizona Schools with support of the Arizona Department of Health and the Arizona Department of Education.
- Ongoing promotion with the Arizona Department of Education to present the Guidelines for Managing Life-threatening Food Allergies in Arizona Schools.
- Host an on-line community forum providing pertinent, insightful, local information from those living and learning with food allergies to others living and learning with food allergies.
- Provide activities, play dates, and Parent’s Night Out for parents of food allergic children to meet and network.
- 2010 Mariel C. Furlong Award Winner from the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) for Community Service.
- Consultants to the Phoenix Coyotes and Jobing.com Arena for their implemention of an "Allergy Friendly Suite".
